Halfling FAQ

  • There is no age restriction for this event—everyone is welcome—but anyone 18 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 6 years old may enter without a ticket, but please let us know in a message when you purchase your ticket about the child and their age. Please also let us know if you have purchased a ticket for anyone under 18.

  • As always at our events, this is an immersive experience, so dig out your best shirts or blouses, some slightly cropped pants or pretty skirts, and a vest to easily put together a halfling outfit. We’re giving everyone the chance to find their own take on a halfling or fantasy character, but we hope that together we can create the feeling of having been transported to another world.

  • Is it even a halfling event without food and drinks? We’ll have a Halfling Pub on-site serving a buffet on both Saturday and Sunday evenings. There will be food stands on Saturday for lunch, and a “second breakfast” will be served on Sunday before you leave. You’ll also have the option to buy additional food or bring your own for a picnic on-site. A bar will be available, so please do not bring alcohol onto the premises.

  • This event will take place out in pastures, and while we’ve tried to find the flattest pasture possible, there are still some bumps and uneven spots. There will be an accessible restroom available.

  • Of course, we’ll set up a Discord server specifically for those of you coming to the event alone so you can find people to go with.

  • We’ll set up a campground in a nearby pasture—a spot where ticket holders can pitch their own tents or hang hammocks (please let us know when you buy your ticket; first come, first served for the trees that can support hammocks)—and create the coziest campground, perhaps in all of Sweden.

    There will be restrooms near the campground, but no showers. However, there is a lake with a swimming area where you can take a dip to freshen up.

    Charging stations will be available during the event for cell phones and other devices.

Ball FAQ

  • There is no age limit at Halfling Forrest, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

  • To ensure we can all be transported to a fantasy world, our dress code is actually quite strict — it’s “ballroom attire.” Historical clothing fits the bill perfectly, and we’ll be sharing an inspiration board on Pinterest so everyone can find something they feel magical and comfortable in. Remember, you can easily add a touch of fantasy with a pair of elf ears, horns, or a tiara.

    If you’re not sure if your outfit will work, ask on Discord or send us an email—we’re here to help you through this!

  • Canapés will be served, but we recommend having dinner before you arrive so you’ll have the energy to explore and dance the night away. We’ll treat you to a welcome drink, and there will be a bar where you can purchase the rest of your drinks for the evening.

  • Our team consists of vegetarians and vegans, so we’ve made sure everyone gets equally delicious canapés. Please note any allergies or if you’re vegan when you purchase your ticket.

  • Yes! There are elevators and access to the ballroom, balconies, and almost all rooms. Our side quests will be accessible, and we’ll make sure that wheelchair users can join in on the historical dance as well!

  • Of course, we'll set up a Discord server specifically for those of you coming alone so you can find someone to go with.

  • Yes, there will be a staffed coat check available all evening, where you can pick up your belongings or clothes at any time. Jackets, suit pieces, handbags, and small backpacks are all allowed in the coat check, but please leave your suitcase somewhere else.
